Huddersfield Grammar School is a wonderful place in which to spend your childhood. It is set in beautiful woodland surroundings and a warm, kind and purposeful feel permeates the whole community.

In recent years, the school has undertaken £5.25m worth of investment into new school facilities, resulting in a fresh learning environment with beautiful outdoor spaces.

Huddersfield Grammar School is nestled within a beautiful woodland setting, just a stones throw away from the centre of Huddersfield.

The main house is a beautiful, listed building that dates back to the 19th century, offering an environment where pupils can feel truly inspired. Throughout the site a further 9 buildings complete the school, with dedicated learning spaces to suit each educational phase.

Facilities at-a-glance:

  • On-site woodland area for Forest School and outdoor learning.

  • Specialist classrooms such as an art studio, food technology kitchen and science labs.

  • For Performing Arts, the school boosts a specialist music room with access to a variety of instruments and professional recording equipment, four practice rooms, a drama studio, a performance space and public speaking facility.

  • Sports facilities include an indoor Sports Hall, outdoor Astroturf and sports pitch.

  • Surrounded by lots of trees and nature, perfect for outdoor learning and social times.
